Following are three ways for you to access your personal information with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency)

1. My Account

Accessing "My Account" online allows you to:
  • track your refunds and your benefit and credit payments
  • view or change your return
  • verify your RRSP contributions and deduction limits
  • set up Direct Deposit
  • confirm certain tax credit entitlements, carry-forward amounts, and much more...

2. TIPS

Call 1~800~267~6999 for CRA's automated Tax Information Phone Service which provides information for the following: 
  • Press 1. to get a Remittance Voucher or Proof of Income Statement 
  • Press 2. to find out about your Income Tax Refund
  • Press 3. for your Account Balance
  • Press 4. for information on your Canada Child Benefit or GST/HST Credit
  • Press 5. for information on your Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Home Buyers' Plan (HBP), or Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA)
  • Press 6. for general tax information for Individuals & Businesses

Note:  To validate your identity you will be required to enter the following on your keypad:
~  your social insurance number, month & year of birth, total income (Line 150) from your tax return

3. CRA General Enquiries

Call 1-800-959-8281 
  • Press 1. for information and help with My Account
  • Press 2. to get a Remittance Voucher or Proof of Income Statement
  • Press 3. for information on your Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Home Buyers' Plan (HBP), or Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) 
  • Press 4. for information on your Tax Return, Account Balance, or to Make a Payment
  • Press 5. for all other enquiries such as Address Changes, Direct Deposit Registration, or Estate and Trust information
Note:  Be prepared to provide your birth date, social insurance number, and other information
​such as amounts from your previous tax return.  (Line 150 = Total Income)
